One of my lifelong dreams has been to travel to Europe. As an art history student in college I discovered the value of learning about other cultures through works of art. As I’d sit in class looking at the slides the professor would show in lectures or when I’d go to local museums, I’d dream about visiting the places where these works of art were made. I especially loved architecture and sculpture. I imagined myself standing in the nave of a gothic cathedral as candles flickered and music drifted through the air.

Alas, as many college students are, I was a poor student and never had the funds to go on the study abroad programs. After graduation I had to find a job and go to work. I still had my dreams of traveling to many distant countries, but had to put them on the back burner for awhile.

A few years later one of my co-workers shared with me how she loved to journal. Not just with words, but with pictures, too. She would collage in her journal many things, including her goals and dreams. So I pulled out my stack of travel magazines and the scissors and went to work. I created a simple two page collage with photos that inspired me about traveling. It was fun to put the pictures together and see the vision of my dream in color, right there on the pages.

In the fall of 2006 I happened to find a great internet special deal on a 10 night Mediterranean cruise. It departed from Rome, Italy and had seven stops. I almost didn’t care which ports our particular cruise went to as there were so many great places to go and this was our first trip. I was sure that wherever we went it would be wonderful. My husband was equally excited when he saw it, and we jumped at the chance.

We went to so many places – including historic sites and museums. When we entered the Duomo in Florence we were both speechless at the size and sheer beauty of this historic church. It can hold up to 30,000 people and is currently the fifth largest cathedral in the world!

Our favorite part of the trip was our two stops in the Greek Isles. We loved the laidback lifestyle, the beautiful scenery, great food and friendly people. A we walked down the winding narrow streets in a village on the island of Mykonos, every corner we turned revealed a postcard quality scene. It was a wonderful experience.

Several weeks after returning home from our trip I happened to open up my journal. I realized that by committing my dream to paper, and visualizing it, perhaps that helped in making this dream come true. Even more amazing was one of the pictures that I’d just happened to place in the journal. Right there in the lower right hand corner of this collage is a photo of Mykonos, Greece.

What does this $19.95 means? Affiliate? No. It’s not about visualizing my affiliate commissions.

Before I reveal the answer, here a story I want to share with you.

10 months ago, I went to World Internet Summit 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I started to know what Internet marketing was all about. I started to know that there are possibilities to make money online.

After 4 days of being a learner in WIS, I was overloaded with information. Yeah, the stars were rounding my head. OK! I took my sweet time to calm down myself. After a week later, I started to get back on track; I made myself available for 2 months to have self-learning sessions at home.

6 months later due to the learning curve, I got it! Yes! Finally, I understood how this Internet marketing works. It’s pretty simple - create a free report, and then setup a squeeze page, drive traffic to build list, and finally sell my list info products. Ka-Ching! Money rolling in…

But, that was not happening…

Just because I don’t have a tool called, ‘Autoresponder‘. I need the Autoresponder service that cost me at least $19.95 per month. Hey, that time I was just started in Internet marketing, I haven’t made any money yet. And from where I can come from, $19.95 USD can buy days of meals. How could I afford it right? So, I decided Not to pay and to wait instead…

But I wouldn’t stop there. People told me that Money in the list. I won’t give up. So, I searched for alternatives. I have tried different methods, different software, None works.

I’m pretty sad… I just don’t know what to do and I almost, yes, almost subscribe to Aweber Autoresponder service. But I didn’t. I told myself to wait for another day, in a hope that I could get an Autoresponder service for a lower rate. Keep on thinking, imagining, hoping that miracle could happen - Yeah, I want my Autoresponder service.

I woke up in the early next morning, eagerly switched on my PC for the sake to subscribe Aweber. Just can’t wait for another second. Before that, I checked my email. ‘Ding Dong’ - notification of a new email from Ewen Chia with a subject, “Unlimited Autoresponder Service for Free!”

Wa! I was like… speechless. I just couldn’t imagine I could get Autoresponder for Free, not cheaper, but absolutely zero cost. I was told that the service was the unannounced bonus for the package I bought from Ewen during WIS. Phew~ a BIG relief… And Thanks so much for Ewen’s kindness.

I told this exact story to my mentor, and he told that, this is the ‘Law of Attraction’. He continued saying that, “our mind is the most powerful magnet to success.” Since then, I was Big Fan of ‘Law of Attraction’.

And today, I’d apply ‘The Secret’ on almost every task I did.

That’s what the $19.95 means to me… without that Autoresponder, I won’t be where I am today.

How is that, you might say?

Viv’s true story.

Viv is an amazing guy whom I (Glen Rees of www.Pranicpulseoflife.com) have known for over 12 years. Some 17 yrs ago Viv became the victim of a car accident falling backwards off a 100 foot cliff whilst in his car as result of swerving to miss a drunk driver travelling wildly on the road. Only days later after regaining consciousness was told he would never walk or even move unaided EVER again.

Not only had Viv become a victim of Quadriplegia at that time, some 2 years ago he told me he entered hospital for his 87th time! He continually suffered bowel/bladder infections as result of his condition. Also he informed me, of those 87 hospitalizations, 12 were for further surgery on complications of his spinal injuries.

I had also gleaned from Viv, since his initial accident 17 amazing years ago, that our State’s premiere spinal hospital unit had spent well-over $900,000 on X-rays, Cat scans, Pet scans, etc of his spine and infections. Whew! What a saga, enough to test the resolve of ANY human, let alone being quadriplegic to boot!

Anyway, 2 years ago he seemed to go missing from our regular weekly chats, for a few months, until I bumped into his son in the street. He told me Viv had been struggling in hospital for some 9 weeks and was very very low. Indeed his son’s actual words were, “Teetering near death, in and out of consciousness.” I said to his son, “Please, please offer him my love and best wishes”. He said he would.

A few days went by when just on-the-spur-of-the-moment I decided to send him a card, just a simple get-well card, nothing too verbose. That very day I posted it, then I thought nothing of it.

Two & a half weeks went by and Viv once again trundled up to my place in his wheelchair. He looked dull, sullen and much, much worse for wear but nevertheless I recognised that little twinkle in his eye.

“How are you mate?”, I said. To which he replied, gulping back the tears which swelled in his eyes.

“You know, you’re a life saver!”

“Me?” I exclaimed. “Not on your life mate, I couldn’t rescue a flea.”

“Forget about fleas”, he replied, “That card you sent me pulled me back from death’s door.”

“How do you mean?”, I replied, sensing his tears as they began to well in my eyes too.

“Well, after being in hospital just soooo many times people just forgot, or were too busy to visit. Other than the odd close family member, in those nine weeks I did not get ANY flowers OR even a card”.

“Sure enough”, he said, ” I reckon I was just about to throw in the towel when it seemed no one really cared. Then a nurse came to my bed with your simple note. Mate, it just blew me away that anyone would take the time to send me anything let alone those kind words. You know, it just lifted me up right-out-a-hospital and got me back home worse for wear BUT still in one piece.”

I looked at him both in glee that he got out-a-hospital alive and in horror that he did not receive even just one visitor OR even one card. Tears now ran from my eyes too and we both fell into each others arms and wept tears of joy for his miraculous recovery.

Yes, I still have had the pleasure of knowing this remarkable man. You know I reckon Viv has the spirit of ten men to endure just what he has.

*** *** *** ***

The above is a VERY true story of an even more amazingly remarkable man. Viv’s still around to this very day. Indeed he often comments of the power of just one tiny card AND the thought that preceded it.

However this story whilst stunning in AND of itself, only serves to highlight one amazing truth.

What is that truth? The power of NOW!!

What am I trying to say? Well, what some call ‘timing’, in truth, is ‘the power of now’. Indeed much greater sages than myself have dared to say that ‘time does not really exist’, ONLY the NOW exists!

So if we take this philosophy as truth then when I wrote that card to Viv, it really WAS the power of NOW at work! Just what are you on about Glen!

Did you know that man has 3 minds? They are:

the Head-mind (represents your Future)

the Gut-mind (what some call gut-instinct or gut-feeling… represents the Past)

the Heart-mind (which represents the NOW!)

Indeed ever wonder just why the now is called the present? Well, ‘cos it’s a present from the universe to us to spend more-time-within.

So, if you can find a way to work-in-heart-mind then you become resonant with the now and amazing things can then occur.

Please let me digress abit. My name is Geln Rees BSc, N.D. As I mentioned above I have a health related website AND through that website I became away of one ‘Kidino’. So aware was I of his obvious talent I comissioned him to design my header AND ebook covers for my website (You’ll see Kidino’s ebook cover 1/2 way down the webpage above… Wonderfully artistically & IT talented is this man… I really mean it!). Anyway, I’ve been on his mailing list ever since.

Nevertheless, the point of my digression is that being a full-time practicing Naturopath of some 26 years I’ve managed to learn a thing-or-two about man, his health & his awareness.

So-much-so that you’ve already read of some of my insights into consciousness above.

Now, as a fulltime Naturopath we are extremely aware of the importance of diet, wellness, etc. Therefore we’ve discovered that it IS possible, by choosing the right Life force positive foods to eat, that by this means AND some Natural remedies I’ve developed, to help us all occupy our heart-mind.

Indeed I’ve gradually been educating Viv to do the same which is the main reason why he’s been out of the Hospital merry-go-round for some 18 months.

FINAL COMMENT

The real beauty of living in the heart-mind or the-now, is that you begin just-to-know-things(That’s why I just knew when to send Viv his card.)

What I’m trying to say is that the three-minds(mentioned above) or the three I’s can also be classified as follows:

Head-mind represents the capacity to Imagine the future

Gut-mind represents the capacity for Instinct, to use experiences from the past to interact with the now

Heart-mind represents the capacity for Inspiration, that is called just ‘knowing’ what to do AND when. Even what to eat, who to spend time with, what to think… Time becomes a sequence of nows.

A friend of mine calls it his ‘NOW’ing-mind.

Anyway I hope this helps you fill up some space Kidino…I owe you one for the great instinctive work you did for me.

Warmly Glen F Rees

My name is Virinia Downham. In the past I have had what can only be described as a very unlucky life. But there is an old saying that God never let’s anyone suffer more than they can handle. And he has also blessed me with some pretty amazing gifts.

This is how I discovered how to turn my life around and to use the law of attraction to bring good luck, love and a better future in to my life.

First the bad luck. I had a brother who died of Frederix’s Ataxia when he was 17, the day before his 18th birthday.

I had another brother who was a violent man and he was murdered when he was 32.

My father was an abusive man who made my early years hell and my mother was mentally unstable. I ended up looking after her for four years in my late teens and early twenties.

I lost someone who I thought was the love of my life. I ended up having to drop out of university and I became engaged and later married a man who ended up being abusive.

I fought hard to make some kind of a life for myself. I went back to university, I was poor, sometimes there wasn’t enough money to buy food. I survived on baked beans and bread. My hard work paid off and I eventually became a Librarian.

Looking back I can now see that I stayed with my abusive husband because I was afraid to be alone. There was also another problem; I became ill and unable to work. Initially I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue but later my condition was confirmed to be Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

After 9 miscarriages I fell pregnant and had a son James. James has High level Autism. After two more miscarriages I had a daughter, Emma. She is a beautiful child and thankfully, perfectly healthy.

My husband never supported my children or myself and eventually I came to my senses and made moves to end my loveless marriage. (I am now separated).

At the age of forty four I was lonely. I was almost destitute. My son James was uncontrollable and my health was getting worse.

Now for the good part.

I am a psychic.

I have always been able to see dead people. As a child I soon realized that other people couldn’t see the things I could see so I tried to act like a “normal” person. My life was hard enough without people thinking I was some kind of a charlatan or a freak.

Years of physical and mental abuse had left me with no self esteem and no sense of who I really was.

Ever since the death of my first brother Jason I have had meetings with both angels and demons –yes they both exist. It was the angels who finally made me see the light. My psychic gift and my ability to write are gifts from God. They are what make me special as a human being. And more importantly I realized that rather than hiding my special gifts I needed to start using them to help others.

So I did.

I began to experience with the Tarot and I found that I had another gift. I finally plucked up enough courage to start doing readings for other people. An amazing thing happened. The more I used my Psychic gifts the stronger they became.

The angels guided me towards Numerology and I have discovered a whole new way to approach my life. I have written a book called “Power Numbers”. King Solomon actually used these numbers and he is considered one of the wisest men in the Bible.

The Power Numbers are based upon the basic belief that every person has a Power Number(s) that control their life’s destiny. Once a person knows what their Power Numbers are they can change their luck from bad to good. The law of attraction is a crucial part of the Power Number system. Through identifying people with the same Power Number or Power Numbers that are compatible to your own, it is possible to bring happiness and love in to your life. The Power Numbers can help a person determine how future events will turn out. The Power Numbers won’t make you instantly rich but they will help you to make luckier and therefore better decisions.

If you use the Power Numbers they will turn your life around. You don’t have to have any special psychic gift. What’s more using the Power Numbers is easy. You don’t have to pay a fortune to make your Power Numbers work for you. The Power Numbers help you to start thinking in terms of laws of attraction – the more you use the Power Numbers that are lucky and compatible to you the better your life will become.

The greatest lesson I have learnt in my life is that you have to accept who you are and what gifts God has given to you.

The Law of attraction plays a crucial part in my new book and in the way I now approach my life. My life is not perfect. I still have MS and my son will always be Autistic. But I now know that I am a person worthy of being loved and of being happy. I also know that my special gifts have helped many people and that the more I focus on giving of myself to others the more I fulfill my life’s destiny.

I hope that through my books and my readings to continue to spread the message of love and hope that I am meant to. I am finishing two more books. The first is about my experiences with Angels and how ordinary people without psychic abilities can communicate with their Guardian Angels. I am also completing a book about Autism. It will be a general guide to help other parents of Autistic children discover how to work out if their child is Autistic and how they can best help their child to live as fulfilling a life as possible.

Power Numbers is currently available through Ebay and Ozation (a free to join Australian Auction site).

It was a beautiful day for our company picnic in August of 2006. I was strolling about with my fellow employees and friends as we waited on the food that was being prepared. Some small craft booths had been set up and a home-made salsa contest was in full swing. However, I passed by a raffle booth and was immediately drawn in. I asked what they were giving away.

“We’re giving away several free grills,” Bob told me as he passed out the little coupon tickets for people to sign up for the free drawing.

“You should just give me the grill,” I joked back at him. “I don’t know why I need to sign up. I’m going to win.”

He laughed. “Yeah, yeah.”

“No really,” I teased back. “I’m going to win…so you might as well shut this thing down now. I may have to leave (the picnic) early and head back to work… but I’ll be over at the office, so you can just bring it there.”

“Yeah, yeah,” he laughed again.

Two hours later, I was taking a new client back to my office when my boss and a co-worker came strolling into our building. Roy was carrying a box and Richard had something else in his hand.

“Oh,” did you bring me my grill?” I called out.

“Oh… Richard won the grill,” said Roy.

“Yes, I did… uh… I won the grill,” said Richard.

“You’re both lying,” I said.

“Yes, we are,” said Roy. They both confessed to their deception. I had indeed won the grill.

“Actually,” said Roy. “You were the first name they announced.”

I laughed again at the whole thing…it seemed a very silly lark.

*** *** *** ***

Two months later, I was standing in line to purchase an item at our local health food co-op.

“Do you want to sign up for the Penta water drawing?” asked the clerk at the cash register.

“Sure,” I responded. I actually had no idea what they were giving away. I thought it was a box of Penta water. But it really didn’t matter. After all, I was going to win….because…well…I had done it before.

“I’m going to win,” I told the lady with my best deadly serious tone and expression.

“Well, yes. That’s it, think positive,” she said.

“No, no, no. It’s not just thinking positive… I AM going to win,” I rejoined. “After all, I just won a grill.” I then began to detail my winning of the grill with great dramatic flare for all of the clerks and anybody else in the store who would care to listen.

“Well, if your karma is good, it will work out. Otherwise, it will be another time,” she said.

“NO, NO, NO!” I retorted. “You don’t understand. I’ve got GREAT ‘karma.’ There’s no reason why I can’t win…so I’m going to WIN.”

“OK,” she said. Apparently my earnest childlike naivete was wearing her out. But, I couldn’t help it…I was having too much fun making these “faith pronouncements.” And so I smiled and left the store with a flurry…after signing up for the contest.

It was sometime after Thanksgiving when I found myself back at the store again. Some friends and I were eating and listening to music in the coffee house side of the establishment. I went to the cash register and wrote a check for our food.

The young clerk studied the name on my check intently. “Were you at our last board meeting?” she asked.

“No,” I said.

“I think you won the Penta Water bicycle drawing,” she said.

“WHAT???” I sputtered out. I burst out laughing when I remembered the exchange at the cash register the month before.

“Yes…..I’m sure of it,” she said. “Come to the back of the store with me….and take a look at your new bicycle.”

*** *** *** ***

Another month passed as Christmas came and went. Somewhere during the season, I found myself strolling through a furniture store. I could not help but admire the curio cabinets. As a rock and mineral hobbyist, I have a few special specimens that would display nicely in an upright cabinet with a light. Some of these cabinets seemed perfect for showing off some of my collection. But as I considered my finances and the need to focus on other expenditures, I decided to forgo the purchase of a curio cabinet.

Several days later, I watched the DVD called “The Secret,” the “phenomenon” that everyone was talking about. It detailed various aspects of the “law of attraction.” While I had always accepted the truth of a “law of attraction,” there were certain things in the video that I could not agree with. It seemed to oversimplify some areas and overly focus on the acquisition of “stuff.” Still, as a Christian, I have always believed that God uses many things to teach us. And was it not Jesus who said, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, nothing shall be impossible to you?”

The law of attraction details some basic principles of how a person stands in faith and expectation for “the universe” to deliver his or her request. It was mentioned that one may want to “build faith” in the process by believing for small things (often concrete and tangible)…and successfully seeing the fulfillment of the request.

I smiled as I listened and considered my two excursions of “faith” in the last two months. (I had considered both episodes more an exercise in child-like exuberance than faith). So, maybe I needed to take this a bit more seriously? Maybe, I needed to consider how these episodes were designed to increase my faith?

“OK,” I thought. “I guess, I’ll ask for a curio cabinet… Concrete… Tangible…”

Three days later I was talking on the telephone with my sister who lives several hundred miles away in Pittsburgh. We were talking about money management and I mentioned my story of walking away from making an impulsive purchase of the curio cabinet. It was good story of fiscal responsibility. We went on talking about other family concerns for about 30 minutes. And then we said goodbye.

Twenty minutes later, she called me back.

“I forgot to mention this,” she said. “Did you know that I ordered a handmade curio cabinet of rosewood that I am having built right now in India?”

“No”

“Well, they didn’t get the order quite right. We wanted a solid wood curio cabinet, but they made one with a backing that wasn’t solid wood….so now there are two curio cabinets. They asked us if we would like both……Would you like the other curio cabinet? It’s really nice. I’ll give it to you if you would like it.”

I was completely speechless as she finished speaking. I stared at the desk where my copy of “The Secret” was still sitting from several days before. It was astonishing to realize that I was having such a seemingly “uncommon” experience. And yet, perhaps it isn’t supposed to be so very “uncommon.”

“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, nothing shall be impossible to you.”

I have been a subscriber of Kidino’s mailing list for quite sometime. Today I receive a mail from him saying that he wants to collect stories of Law of Attraction, then I think this $100 should be the best gift for me as my birthday gift on 27 Sept 2007!

I have been learning Law of Attraction from Abraham-Hicks for 3 years. I have read through all their archive of newsletter, and all the articles they published on their website before the redesign of their current look. For me, the learning of Law of Attraction can be said as the single most significant matter which has changed my life so dramatically, that until now, sometimes I look back, I wish I had started that process earlier in my life.

At year 2000, I have graduated from Universiti Utara Malaysia. I still clearly remember that, during the period of my final examination, one of my UUM senior knocked on my door at one night. He was recruiting some agents for his insurance business. Since I am the type that love freedom extremely, and hate the life of 9-to-5, the vision he illustrated for me seemed very attractive indeed. He said that I could easily achieve over 10k per month in insurance business if I was hardworking enough.

I believed him. Then the most terrible nightmares in my life began.

Since I joined under him, I attended a lot of training and seminars. Every week, 2 morning meetings and 1 night meeting, these are fixed and compulsory to attend, not taking into account yet other trainings and meetings monthly, quarterly and yearly. But these were not the nightmares that I mentioned.

Everyday I woke up early and started taking out my prospect list to call them one by one to make appointments. I tried to fill up my daily schedule as full as possible, hoping that I could make more sales. I made breakfast appointments, lunch appointments, and even dinner appointments. I worked as hard as I could hoping to be promoted as Unit Sales Manager after 2 years. I worked day and night. I made appointments as many as I could, I met as many people as I could, I made as many presentations as I could, I even followed-up my prospects and clients as tight as I could. But these were not the nightmares I mentioned either.

Then what were the nightmares then?

The nightmares were that: I only closed a little sales! So little that it was not proportionate to the effort I had put. So little that the commission earned was not enough for me to survive like those 9-to-5 people! I was living in fear, fear of financial stress that I did not know how to get over.

And the most frustrating thing was not the money issue! The most frustrating thing was that I did not know what went wrong! I did not know the WHY！

Since I joined insurance career, I learned a lot about HOW: How to start prospecting, How to make presentation, How to follow-up, How to handle objections, How to close a sale, How to get referrals… yada yada yada. Everything related with this business’s KNOW-HOW I had learnt, and had gained positive recognition from those who were more senior during ‘Role Play’ training session. But the only X-files that nobody could understand, including me myself personally, was that why an agent equipped with such a high level of sufficient trainings and KNOW-HOW and equally hardworking like me, would produce such a little result? Unproportionate and Unbelievable! Yet this mystery happened to me, and the least empowering part was that: I did not know the WHY!

Could a person who was very hardworking and who had learnt all the correct KNOW-HOW from one of the best insurance training system in Malaysia, recognized by senior agents as ’skillful’, possibly showed such a low, pity and disgusting performance?

Yes, I definitely can assure you that, because I was The One!

I persevered for 3 years so hard that until one day I felt that I could no longer stand it anymore so I gave up and quit. I gave up not because I was not persistent enough (how could a not persistent person persevered for 3 years so long along the way?). I gave up because I didn’t even know the big WHY what happened to me? Why I could not get what I wanted? Why the harder I worked, the less sales I made? Why the more I wanted to solve this problem, the more imppossible it seemed to solve?

What happened? Could anyone tell me why?

WHY? WHY? WHY?

Then I found Abraham-Hicks’s website by accident. (There was no accident in this Universe actually, everything is about Law of Attraction)

The first article I read made me feel very complicated. Not that the article was complicated, but my feeling was complicated, complicated in the sense that, I felt that it was so wise but at the same time it was so contradicting with our so called COMMON SENSE and old beliefs! So it confused me, because what it said seemed so right yet so challenging. But I was not sure was that really a right thing for me to believe?

The time I began to learn Law of Attraction was back at 2004 around July-August. Since then, my life had changed incrementally, slightly everyday and significantly every year.

Accepting this theory, philosophy or knowledge was not easy. The confidence did not build up very fast. Every now and then, doubts will arise. Sometimes what I want will manifest very quickly, sometimes they never show up (yet) until today. But generally, every aspect of my life has improved tremendously since then.

Personally I have many amazing testimonials to share, so do my students. I have built a website specially dedicated to teaching Law of Attraction to Chinese community, and it is called 自然博客. I have written many articles regarding this topic and published in my blog. I have also used Skypecast to hold 7 times of Online Seminar and made the recordings available for free download using Pando. Many students thanked me for my work and contribution to the Chinese community. They have many fantastic stories to share with me every time we chat online. For example, how to attract the perfect weather, green-lights along the road, passing exam’s cutting points for just 2 points over, self healing etc.

The one thing that really amazes me is that, what Kidino is doing now is exactly what I am preparing to implement, which is establishing a wordpress platform and invite many others to share their stories, experiences and testimonials regarding Law of Attraction! I have registered a domain specially for that purpose two months ago, which is http://XinXiangShiCheng.net . The only difference is just that we are serving different communities, his is English community and mine is Chinese community, but the project is the same and so alike! This phenomenon is called SYNCRONICITY, which is two or more peoples of same idea do the same thing at the same time, and finally they converge and rendezvous. That’s why when I received Kidino’s newsletter about this idea, it resonates with me so strongly and deeply that I can wait no longer to write this story to share with you all!

I have another astonishing story to share with you all, stay tuned and I will write when I am free. It is about how to attract back a Domain Name that was hijacked from me after I have made a search in Registerfly.com and not buy it on the spot.

(Not yet finished, to be continued)

It’s December 2002. I was a gringo living and working in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. To make a long story short, a few years earlier, I had taken the American dream to Mexico. A non-Spanish speaking Caucasian, starting a time-management company in the land of tomorrow. I’ll try to explain that concept in another story…..

My teen-aged kids were old enough to choose to live with their father if they so desired. My good friend, Tony, was working at a Travel Agency in Houston, Texas and offered me the opportunity to come back to the United States. A child’s love is a very strong motivator.

I excepted the position and worked seven days a week, 12 hours a day for almost 4 months. I had known nothing about travel, but was working in a Travel Agency. I knew little about sales, but was attempting to sell. Desperation forced me to create a member services position (my comfort zone) in order to remain with this company. Its safe to say, I was not in that top 20 percent of the sales staff.

The money wasn’t nearly enough, but the promises were many. Eventually, I decided to return to Mexico because of those false promises. I hadn’t been back in Mexico two days before the calls came for me to return to Houston along with more promises. The love of a child is a very strong motivator.

I returned to Houston, but again the promises were not to be. Had all my efforts been wasted? Was I a fool, or was my desire stronger than the adversity. Reeling with indecision, I answered a call to undertake a similar position in Ontario, California. This start up company had heard of my willingness to work endlessly. I excepted the opportunity as another new beginning…

This company promised everything necessary to achieve my goals…$6000 to $8000 dollars per month to establish their member services department. Imagine my surprise, after working 140 hours in my first 10 days, my paycheck was $252.00.

Never considered myself a quitter, but I was moments from getting on a plane, when a very special person touched my life. Steve Lamb is personally responsible for where I am today because he appreciated my efforts. This man was not my boss or even an officer in the company I worked for, but he pulled out his personal checkbook and wrote me a check for $500 so I would stay. Today I am the General Manager of that company and manage three offices in California.

My story is of persistence, motivation, love and a helpful hand. My children still do not live with me, but they have a good life and know they can. My world is not perfect, is full for adversity, but I have no fear. My parents taught me to never quit and my friends have taught me a most important lesson….I do not have to do it all on my own.

Today my passion lies in bringing Travel and Internet Marketing together. The adversity is there, the frustration is there, but I will not quit and hope to be able to assist you in much the way Steve Lamb assisted me.
